Qld: Man charged over two rapes
BRISBANE, April 25 AAP - A woman has been dragged into a toilet cubicle in a central
Queensland pub and raped, police say.
The 32-year-old woman from Kawana was allegedly dragged into the toilets of a hotel
on Bolsover Street in Rockhampton by a 28-year-old man at about 4.30pm (AEST) yesterday.
The man, from Berserker, is also believed to be responsible for a similar sexual assault
on January 16 this year.
At about 11pm that night a 20-year-old Frenchville woman was walking along Moores Creek
Road in Rockhampton when she was allegedly dragged off the road and assaulted.
The man has been charged in relation to both cases with three counts of rape and one
count each of sexual assault and deprivation of liberty.
He will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court later today.
