NEW RULES PLANNED FOR STAFF CODE ENFORCER TURNS IN LICENSE.(Local)

Albany Director of Code Enforcement Michael J. Alvaro has agreed to sever his ties to a private real estate firm owned by two building inspectors, according to city officials.

Alvaro has agreed to withdraw his license to sell real estate for a firm owned by the inspectors, J. David Ehmann and Richard A. Gross, "by mutual agreement" with his boss, Buildings Commissioner Michael Haydock, according to the city's corporation counsel, Vincent A. McArdle Jr.

Haydock confirmed the arrangement, adding that he "anticipates" that as long as Alvaro is a city employee, he will not maintain his license with any real estate broker doing …
