When Carol Leighton talks to some young people in her summer theater classes, she uses words like responsibility, awesome, and independent. She makes it clear she wants their best performance.
``I'm know I'm pretty strict and demanding,'' she tells the young teens, but adds ``think how proud you are going to be when the show goes on. That's the way it is in professional theater. You've got to have discipline.''
