Vic: Two dead in accidents near Morwell and Ararat
MELBOURNE, Aug 23 AAP - Two people were killed in separate accidents on Victorian roadsovernight.
A 53-year-old man from Moe died after a head-on collision on the Princess Highway overpassnear Morwell, in south-east Victoria, about 11.40pm (AEST).
Police believe the man's vehicle was travelling on the wrong side of the road.
Another man was killed when the car he was driving collided with a truck on the WesternHighway near Ararat, in western Victorian, about 5.45am (AEST).
The truck driver was not injured.
The state's road toll stands at 264, compared to 272 at the same time last year.
