NSW: Teenager murdered, three in critical conditions

A teenage boy has been found murdered, and two adults and a child are fighting fortheir lives after their Sydney home was set on fire this morning.

The blaze is believed to have started in the front, upstairs bedroom where the teenager'sbody was found.

Neighbours alerted authorities about 12.30 am after noticing smoke billowing from themodern two-storey house in suburban Chifley.

The man, woman and the surviving teenage boy are all in a critical condition.

A Prince of Wales Hospital spokesman says both adults have undergone surgery.

They suffered severe head injuries and smoke inhalation.

It's believed the teenager admitted to the Sydney Children's Hospital had similar injuries.

Two neighbours who rescued the man were taken to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.

Firefighters found the dead boy only after the fire was extinguished.

Police say the fire is being treated as suspicious.
