WA: Police rescue mother and baby from Perth siege
Police say a 28-year-old man remains in custody overnight and is being questioned by
detectives following a three hour siege in suburban Perth.
A mother and baby were rescued by armed police after armed officers stormed the home
in Dianella yesterday.
Police say a man threatened to kill the seven month old baby girl and her mother.
A Perth police spokesman says officers were called to the scene about 12.30pm.
Negotiators attempted to talk the man out of the house for three hours before the armed
officers moved in.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
